Jake Basten is a sound designer and composer for Video Games and interactive media.
He organises Game Audio South West and is also a lecturer in Sound Design and Music Composition for Film and Game Audio.
Coming from a classical music background, and having professional experience as a programmer; Jake has a deep and balanced knowledge of writing music and creating sfx that are completely entwined with the audio framework that they are implemented with.
Jake is passionate about pushing interactive audio further. He is extremely interested in creating new audio functionality, building audio tools to aid fellow sound designers and especially creating audio that blurs the line between music and sfx.
